Event Overview

Want to know what to expect as you move from GP training to practice? Join this evening webinar from 18:00-21:00 on Thursday 19 May to find out!

If you’re a GP trainee looking for guidance on your next steps as you move into post-CCT practice, look no further! Join us to find out what to expect as you move from training to working in practice, including the support available to you in your first year. The agenda has been based on feedback given to us by people in their final year of GP training about what is most important to them.

You will hear from national leaders including Dr Nikki Kanani (NHS England) Professor Simon Gregory (Health Education England) and Professor Dame Clare Gerada (RCGP President).

Plus hear from GPs and GP trainees working in primary care who will share their experiences of some of the different options available to you as you embark on a career in general practice, and Elizabeth Swatkins (GMC) will guide you on what to expect in the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) process.

You’ll also get the chance to put questions to speakers throughout the session.

Check out the evening’s agenda and speakers on the ‘Agenda’ tab above. If you are viewing on mobile click the three dots at the top left of your screen to view the ‘Agenda’ page.

Please note: this is a closed webinar for those working in general practice. Please register using your official NHS/professional email address or RCGP membership email to help us to confirm your place.

This event will take place on Zoom; registered attendees will be sent a link to join on the day of the event.
