Influencing Beyond Your Role

This session is for senior primary care colleagues only working within systems, this would include within a PCN or within the wider Integrated Care System.

 

How do you influence change within PCNs and ICS when you don’t have the power to compel? When lines of authority are changing and unclear? When you’re often leading in virtual space? When the future is uncertain?

 

How do you influence change in complex systems when you don’t have the power to compel? When lines of authority are changing and unclear? When you’re often leading in virtual space? When the future is uncertain?

 

This session is specially designed for those working in primary care who want to develop their skills to influence change in integrated care systems.

 

During the session, focus will be on three key areas:

• The characteristics and behaviours of influential leaders in complex systems, including ICSs
• Creating time and space for you to reflect, practice and explore with colleagues your own influencing skills.
• Developing workable strategies to improve your own influence as a leader.

 

What we will explore:

• Models of influence in systems
• Influencing strategies
• Behaviours and approaches of influential leaders
• Actions for you

 

The workshop will comprise a blend of theory and evidence, models and frameworks, experiential activities, and reflection into action. The session is designed and delivered by a group of highly experienced facilitators who have a particular interest and expertise in developing leadership in complex health and care systems.
