New Care Certificate Assessors eLearning course 

Created in partnership with Health Education England, the Care Certificate assessors eLearning course has been designed to support Care Certificate assessment. The interactive content within the course has been designed to support existing Care Certificate assessors in refreshing their skills, and for those new to assessing. 

Employers can claim £100 from the Workforce Development Fund (WDF) for every employee who successfully completes both sessions, and where WDF eligibility criteria has been met.

Care Certificate

The Care Certificate is an agreed set of standards that define the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of specific job roles in the health and social care sectors.

The Care Certificate is made up of the 15 minimum standards that should be covered if you are ‘new to care’ and should form part of a robust induction programme.

It was developed jointly by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health

Developing professional practice and personal leadership skills for healthcare support workers in primary care - short course

Healthcare support workers play a key role in delivering excellent patient care within general practice, and therefore developing and retaining those workers is key to developing a workforce that is capable of meeting the future needs of the NHS.

With Education for Health, the NHS have developed a 12-week online learning course plus one Essentials Clinical Workshop (2 x two-hour sessions).
