Event placeholder

Please note: you will receive a Microsoft Teams link via email on the day of the webinar

A webinar developed in partnership with the National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP).

All over the world people continue to flee their home due to conflict, oppression and war, looking for places to resettle and find sanctuary.  According to the UNHCR, UK refugees have tended to come recently from countries such as Syria, Iraq, Eritrea and Iran.  With the numbers of those resettling in the UK set to rise, there is a need to share good practice and equip social prescribing services and link workers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to practically support refugees as they navigate and adapt to their new circumstances.

Our speakers will cover, some of the practical ways you can support refugees, including the challenges, share examples of good practice, from both a social prescribing organisation and link worker’s.  We will also share a host of resources for further reading and provide access to our new social prescribing eLearning module on culturally responsive practice.
